UltraFit Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
UltraFit is a browser extension that fits web videos to ultrawide screens. This policy explains what the extension does with information. In short: it collects nothing and sends nothing.
Information we collect
None. UltraFit has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no servers. It does not collect, store, sell or share any personal information, browsing history or page content.
What stays on your device
- Your settings: fit mode preferences, keyboard shortcuts, appearance and per-site rules (for example "youtube.com: Crop"). These are saved with Chrome's built-in storage. If Chrome sync is on, Chrome syncs them between your own signed-in browsers; UltraFit never receives them.
- Video frames: to detect black bars, UltraFit briefly draws a small, low-resolution copy of the current video frame in memory and measures where the picture starts and ends. These frames are never saved or sent anywhere.
Permissions
- Access to websites: needed so UltraFit can find and resize videos on whatever site you watch. It only interacts with video elements and its own on-screen controls.
- Storage: saves your settings as described above.
- Scripting: when the extension is installed or updated, adds its script to tabs that were already open.
Network requests
UltraFit makes no network requests of its own.
Removing your data
Use “Reset all” in UltraFit's settings, or uninstall the extension, to delete everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
